Accessibility

At Film Unit, we believe that cinema is for everyone. That’s why it's important to us that no access issue gets in the way of you enjoying the cinema experience.

That's why all of our matinee screenings are hard of hearing friendly, we have dedicated wheelchair spaces in our auditorium and we hold regular autism friendly screenings throughout the year. If you have any other accessibility requirements or suggestions to improve our service, don't hesitate to get in touch.

Frequently asked questions

How do I get there?

We’re a single screen cinema based in the Sheffield Students’ Union Nelson Mandela Auditorium. Make your way to the Students’ Union, located in Western Bank (just off Glossop Road).

Once inside, you can find us by descending the stairs located outside Coffee Revolution. You can find your ticket QR code on the email sent to you after buying your ticket online. If you can’t find us, any of the SU staff will be able to point you in the right direction.

Who can come and see films?

We show a number of child friendly films throughout the term and even run a Saturday Kids Club three times a semester, which shows a family friendly film at the earlier time of 12:00.

Check our full schedule for details on which films are part of Saturday Kids Club. ID or proof of age may be required for films 12A and above rated screenings.
